Who are these 3 strikers everyone is banging on about? Dzeko sergio and who? Jovetic is not a striker. Not prolific enough. Him and sergio were riddled with injuries last season. This is worrying we have messed up
Got to agree with this. What if Dzeko gets injured? Who can challenge for headers or provide an alternative method to the side show we saw against a team who block the middle. Ally this to our obvious lack of width and we can only play one way. Fully understand letting Negredo go but but not without a replacement. Who do we have in reserve.? Guiedetti? possibly an unproven 18 year old nigerian in a month or two? It is not time to panic but we are unquestionably weakened as an attacking outfit. I do find it strange of management to leave it so late when negredo was always looking likely to leave. No chance of a replacement now unless we find some unwanted loan attacker llorente etc or a desperate measure such as other teams cast offs like defoe or borini. We do clearly appear one light now up top.

I think we should get in Vaz Te as replacement. Much cheaper than Falcao would have been and can play out wide as well as up front.
Haha.

No.

Not sure I believe the knee surgery comments

He's playing. he played in he World Cup. More likely is that they try and see his knee through. There are loads of players at his age who have to manage injuries.

Who played in the World Cup?

Who says the bosses are happy about it? They might be saying the exact same thing as a lot of us are but find themselves in a situation that's too advanced and we find ourselves without the time to rectify it. There could be a meeting between Pellegrini Begiristain Soriano and al Mubarak next week and they might all agree that this was a negative thing and we hope we don't regret it. People make mistakes all the time in work, maybe City have here.

Maybe we won't regret it and Kun and Jovetić stay fit all season and Džeko doesn't go into one of his low in confidence slumps. But it's a maybe going off previous examples.

Might .... could.....might.......maybe........maybe........maybe

A born pessimist. We did our big spending over the last 3 years. We are now tweaking our squad and PLANNING our buys NOT panic buying. We can't just buy players because they are available - nor can we stop other teams including the scum, from trying to improve their squad. But it doesn't lessen the quality we already have in our squad!!!!

Losing Negredo without a replacement does weaken our squad though.

If you think otherwise then you obviously don't think much of his work prior to the shoulder injury.

I was saying how important Dzeko was when many others were saying he should go and was last in the pecking order.

Now most are saying he is key because the jury is out on the Kun , Jovetic partnership and their soft tissue record.

I am positive getting rid of Negredo will be a big mistake for us this season at least.

He turned Hull from a point to three and he would have done likewise against Stoke if fit.

When Navas is in the team you have to start either Dzeko or Negredo , its a no brainer.

Stoke won't be the last side that bank four on four on our patch and Jovetic and Kun aint the answer to get us in front and keep it that way.

But he can't play until October & probably won't be match fit till Nov. this gets us a tidy sum - we can push Yaya up & promote a youth player

Don't think he's looked himself for past 6months though! Although he has been in a shit team!

How is it toys our the pram? We're not complaining cos we didn't sign Messi we're complaining because the geniuses in charge thought it would be a good idea to severely weaken our attack and not get a replacement in.

Severely????? are you on a mission tonight or what??? ok he scored 23 goals but since January he scored 0 and was average..and btw from that 23 goals only 9 we're in PL and we scored over 100 in it....

Yes but he also can give the other attackers a rest when he plays you plank. With just 3 strikers if one goes down the other 2 will need to play 2-3 games a week for the next few months and will get burnt out and that could lead to them getting an injury leaving us with just one fit striker. And He scored a lot of cup goals for us and was our second highest scorer in the Champions League as well.

i didn't said nothing bag about till now you clown..
