It's effectively a permanent transfer. Whatever happens. Loaning for 12 months first will be about cash flow for Valencia. Bet there's a loan fee too. Excellent deal for City.

If we don't replace him it isn't.

Think ill trust the combined experience of Txiki, Pellegrini, Khaldoon and Soriano over a few message board flappers.

Next year he will be a year older and have a bad season. His family is reportedly miserable in England. He won't have a good season. No sense in keeping a player who doesn't want to be here.

It is if they have to pay £24m for a player who will be 30 in a year.

Footballing wise I'm sure we have tried to buy a replacement but after Falcao fell through what was there? Welbeck? Not sure we could buy earlier as we have to sell before we can buy with the UEFA sanction

From a business point of view £26m for what will be a 30 year old is fantastic business. RVP was £25m. negredo wants to go. That does not give you a good bargaining position

Football wise, if you can separate the two, then yes it's very disappointing we haven't replaced him. maybe we can in January

It's very good business I agree. Also makes a laughing stock of the FPP sanctions.

Leaves us light in the striker department though which could bite us on the arse.

Having known this was coming I'm bemused the club haven't secured a replacement.
