Valencia in for Negredo?

What a great transfer window! I know FFP will mean we never truly break into the elite, but despite that we now have only 2 strikers (Jovetic isn't a line leader) one of whom is prone to injury at the moment and the other has spells when he can't hit a barn door. We're all assuming Fern 2 is an upgrade on Fern 1 although Fern 1 was exceptional last year and is Mangala that much better than MDM? Groundhog season again - win the league, fail to improve.
FFP? bad planning? Bit of both.

Second highest scorer in the champions league for us as well. Cannon fodder again? And in your short sightedness your only looking at goals not his assists (the outside of his left foot cross anyone?), The general hard work for the team, chasing the opposition down, winning the ball back, holding up play. Even when he couldn't buy a goal after his injury he still worked hard and was an asset to the team. Make no mistake he will be a big loss.
 
I've calmed down a bit, I think people need to realise just how good David Silva is behind a loan striker. It'll be alright and we'll have a right good go at the Champions League.

Valencia are taking the piss out of us .
 
Silva is decent behind the striker but doesn't score enough goals to justify playing there all the time. Plus if it's Dzeko who is the main striker it would help if he had someone quicker just behind him. Yaya is the obvious choice as his finishing is superb and then we get the two Ferns in the team. Silva is fine running the show from his usual position.
