Surely this deal isn't going ahead now? You would think after the 2012/13 transfer window disaster, we would've learnt our lesson.

Could be worse though Arsenal paying £16 million for Welshit.

I've calmed down a bit, I think people need to realise just how good David Silva is behind a loan striker. It'll be alright and we'll have a right good go at the Champions League.

Getting someone in are we after all????

Haha my bad... aaand now I'm depressed again.

For the avoidance of doubt.......

JOVETIC IS NOT A STRIKER......

anymore than Mangala is a holding midfielder, or Fernando is a winger

Thank you

Neither is Aguero by that logic.

Could get worse, people. Decent Valencia media sources hinting that they will have an option not an obligation to buy Negredo next summer. That has been the sticking point, who budges first... so Valencia can send him back if they want.
You better be winding me up !!!
If thats the case Negredo stays .
Valencia are taking the piss out of us .

Not winding you up, but it's also not official yet. Just reported by good Valencia source Alberto Santama (28m euros + 2m euros addon) as "option to buy".

If we accept those new terms, we'll be the laughing stock the next few weeks/months/years or so. Seriously bad business if true.

Man up Txiki!

I get the impression he wants to leave, if that's the case, goodbye and good luck
But we should have lined up a replacement

If that's the case we want him gone. What has Alvaro been up to?

he hasn't settled and in particular his wife hasn't.
The money these lads earn is incredible and for the length of time they are away from their homeland they should just get on with it then return home with a shit load of cash when the career is over ,and as for the wives yelping book a ticket home on the first flight for the whinging mares.

Super Deporte saying obligation (not option) to sign him for £24m next summer... so conflicting stories but seems veeeery close now.

now this would be much better. £24m for 30 year old striker next summer is decent cash. but for very short term (this year) this is bad business.

So, we are moving on a player who is out till end of October, will need 4 weeks to get match fit and so will only be effectively available from December, whilst giving ourselves time and money to secure whoever we need in January and people are upset why?

I've asked this before and someone may have responded which I missed, but what is the difference between a loan with a n obligation to buy and a normal transfer. Few clubs pay for player up front so if a player's registration is exchanged and payment structured over a period of time I don't see the difference between a loan with obligation to buy and a transfer with structured payments.

Nacho will be our saviour!

The worry is we only have one true target man if he leaves, maybe it means we plan on shifting to one up top? Our attacking midfielders don't score enough goals is my only worry with that, maybe that could change though.
