David Silva (Dabveed Seelbva) immediately spring to mind.

David Silva is usually pronounced David Villa on match of the day......

Re Micah, I'm sure I remember hearing from the horses mouth at some point, that Mee-kah is how his mam named him. Dont think he loses any sleep over My-car type variations though really.

Having grown up in Ireland and being involved in horseracing, I'd say the jockey Tadgh O'Shea suffers from the worst pronunciation butchering by punters and pundits, of any sportsman that I've heard.

I agree that commentators should pronounce players' names correctly, as long as they actually try to do so consistently, and not just for the best players at biggest clubs. I look forward to when we sign a Xhosa/Zulu/Khoisan speaking south African player with click sounds in his name.
