Idiots like Walton and Gallagher who are employed by both BT and SKY are supposed to be impartial and have been given the platform to inform, educate and explain the decisions VAR make during games ..

Who says they are supposed to be impartial, or to inform, educate and explain decisions?

That's not their job.

Their job is to support and promote the product. The purpose of the product is to showcase the 2 red cashcows, and in so doing monetise for profit the millions of gullible morons across the UK who get sucked-in.

As far as we know, Halsey is the only one to decline the none disclosure payment that ref’s receive when they retire.

Is that genuine, they get a non-disclosure payment?

Why would such a thing be necessary, a ref isn't privileged to hold anything of a personal, competitive or commercially sensitive nature so why would they need such a thing in the first place?

Germans sorted the people out and got rid of the rotten apples and it's working a lot better there now. It's still not perfect but it's miles ahead of the PL. 2018 WC had the best officials available using the tech and there were no issues.

Great. Any sign of that happening here? And are you happy that VAR continues as it is until something changes?

And are you confident that if there is anything shady going on that “governance” (such that it is in English football) will be the catalyst for any form of change?

Experienced ex officials employed to explain what has just happened in front of our eyes as we are no doubt deemed too thick to form our own opinion..

A missed opportunity by the instigators of VAR to bring a slice of transparency to their corrupt tool, how fortunate..

VAR and all it's hangers on needs outing but whilst you have half the PL teams sponsored by betting companies and clubs such as the rags, dippers, tarquins and spuds owned by greedy Americans and all funnily enough all in the hole for £billions between them, it's not going to change anytime soon..

I think VAR might be the catalyst for change itself as its showing just how undeniably poor or corrupt PiGMOL are.

Or we could just get rid of it and go back to muttering about 'pace of the game' while a fat rag waddles around the pitch giving them every 50-50 and penalty shout and a bald rag gets every Manchester Derby and gives us fuck all and them everything.

Riley should be immediately fucked off and Mark Halsey should be put in charge ..

Mark appears to be the only ex referee with any credibility and would be a good figurehead for PGMOL.

It's scandalous how VAR has been allowed to manipulate results and go completely unchallenged ..

Until there is complete transparency, refs mic'd up, conversations made audible and people who make decisions, such as Foden's none penalty call are put before the cameras and made to explain how and why they came to such a decision, football and VAR will not move forward..

Football is a simple game for the masses and whoever you support it offers a sense of belonging, a release from the day to day grind..

it regularly gives you unbelievable highs and lows which every fan, whether they follow Juventus or St Johnstone, experience..

This is the very thing that makes football and following your team so addictive and it's the very thing that's being rubbed out by the way the game is now being manipulated..

Too many people are pulling VAR apart now for it just to be teething issues..

You can guarantee pretty much every game will have a dubious VAR call now..

This, along with many of the referees employed to ref in the PL not being of the required standard is compounding the issue..

The best league in the world should by definition have the best referees..

The guy who reffed our CL game the other night was a great example of what you'd expect from an official..

Supporters have absolutely no confidence in PGMOL.

It needs dismantling and restructuring, involving people such as Halsey.

It should look at employing the best referees from across the globe..

Instead we have to put up with refs such as Moss who is clearly unfit and Mason who disallowed a perfectly good Brighton goal recently which VAR then worked overtime to justify..



It's just not acceptable, in fact the whole shit show is looking more and more like one big cover up as each day goes by..

Halsey and Hackett left and created their own version of PiGMOL.

I thought it was very telling Vinnie used them for his testimonial.

Sort out the rules of engagement for it, mic up the officials, make offside daylight between attacker and defender, and sort out handball law and it'll be miles better. It's not just VAR that's the problem, it's the stupid rules it's having to implement.
