Var debate 2019/20

The are our competition so i am obsessed with them, they are sailing through no probs whilst everyone else is having issues with VAR,the law of averages says they should be affected as well, salah had a slight tug on his shirt that he barely felt and for once didn't fall over, that was a pen, rodders body slammed no pen and by the way you are a cheat rodders, small things
I’ve already said, Salah’s was nothing to do with var. that’s entirely down to the ref on the pitch and it was a penalty. But var didn’t give it. The ref did.

Other than offsides (which a computer decides) VAR isn't solving anything when a ref/official makes the decision, as with the penalty we didn't get against Spurs, and the penalty we didn't get today, the decision makers are either incompetent or biased. On both occasions, numerous people including former officials and players, media, pundits and fans of all teams thought they should have been penalties.

The only decisions we can trust are offsides and goal line technology, because there is no one making the decision, the technology does it.

Offside bit, not accurate that. FPS to slow to keep up with the speed players are running.

Do you not think it was a fucking ridiculous decision by Luiz to grab Salah’s shirt like that?
Issue is Ric is that we get poleaxed in the box all the time and get about 1 in 10 awarded as pens. That's not even hyperbole.

Yes the shirt tug was a pen, but why can't the refs looking right at Rodri getting rugby tackled or Silva being stamped on call those piss easy decisions? It's by design.

And a human still sets where the forward most playable extremity stops in the (sometimes arbitrarily) defined key frame of the replay video for all offside assessments.

No it doesn't. A human moves the frames until he thinks the ball is played. At 50 frames a second he can easily manipulate it so that the attacker appears offside in tight decisions. A computer most definitely does not make the decision.

Luiz is ridiculous on a stick but why was that given as penalty and rodders not? the var refs and the onfield ref sticking together is not helping, parts of the system are already redundant if the var refs won't overturn the onfield refs,if they are intent on carrying on with it they have to explain what this higher threshold is,Walton doesn't know but defended the system anyway yesterday, they need to tell the public and the pundits what it means then maybe we might understand better and give them a break,it's too late for us that they have been outed as not having the right equipement to judge such a tight offside, that has gone

It’s plainly obvious they are using it to make the referees look better ! They will just agree with the Ref unless it’s something so ridiculous that they can’t!

It is being run by the refs for the benefit of making the refs look better , which isn’t hard as they are shite !

The VAR team should be an independent team , possibly not even of referees!

Watching the Tottenham game today the fourth official if it was him in green was a fat overweight bastard , call them self’s professionals , it’s a disgrace they can’t get into decent shape! Sums them up in one picture , a total mess

While I agree FPS needs improving as does giving VAR officials every camera angle (which it seems they do not get) my point is the decision makers are guided by technology, not by their own incompetence or bias.

Bear in mind that every premier league club was demo'd the technology and the FPS and agreed to use it. Unfortunately the clubs didn't agree to which idiots get to make the decisions
