Var debate 2019/20

I don't believe that, I just think that if UEFA wanted us out of the CL they would have made our passage to the knockout stage far, far more difficult. By giving us this group, even without getting VAR decisions, we're virtually guaranteed to top.

When it comes to knockout stages and these decisions go against us, my tune will change but right now, it just doesn't make any sense despite how frustrating it is.
So you don't think UEFA are corrupt, yet you think they have the wherewithal to manipulate teams into strong or weak CL groups?

No I was just saying if they are corrupt, they would have the wherewithal to manipulate the groups so why would they be so favourable towards us

Edit: By corrupt, I am referring to match fixing abilities. I don't doubt there is corruption within that organisation.

absolute and utter fix. I couldn't care less about this group, but it was there to see plain as day.

to be honest, yesterday morning I've read UEFA's statement that only clear and obvious errors on offsides will be called by VAR. That's up there with Sterling or one Spurs had s Leicester, it's not clear and obvious and that statement came earlier than this situation.

I think you will find that UEFA do manipulate the groups, seeding was part of it but City overcoming the European elite and changed their thinking, even the G14 did not want to play us

There is definitely something very dodge going on with VAR even BT were saying they dont understand how VAR could have missed our two stone wall penalties last night. I cant see how the VAR ref missed the handle ball even Robbie Savage called before I saw it !!. The only thing i can think of is the VAR ref in his shed had a off-day or someone from UEFA was in his shed telling him not to give them.

I understand your view point. It is valid but naive. Let me explain. Last nights decisions were never going to decide our route into the later stages. So why is it corrupt? It is called setting a narrative and/or softenning up. Did we get any media support for our numerous issues with VAR. no. Look at match reports and there is no mention. Let alone an outcry. City fans and the club then get painted as 'always the victim' or paranoid'. Players lose faith in fairness of the game over time. Affects mindset in 'big' games. Meanwhile we are never getting rub of the green decisions. It is a win win in undermining the club. It has marked our card. We have been shown that we are always going to get fck over. Pep knows it. See what he says after the game. Pep recognises it but you dont. I know who i believe.
