Var debate 2019/20

I understand what you are saying and I agree. However, I'm explaining that the onfield ref Oliver should have seen and understood from his position that it was a penalty from the direction the ball went after it hit the arm. He was very close and unrestricted view and as experienced referee understand the direction of the ball takes is an indicator of contact.

What is critical here is that if Oliver had given the penalty, at that point the game is stopped and theres no Liverpool attack or goal.. it still doesnt preclude VAR overturning that decision and not awarding a penalty of course.

So from a personal opinion, Oliver should have given the first and the Sterling push but not the additional handball. I haven't seen MOTD so they havnt prejudged my thoughts.
You presume VAR was even working today.

I very much doubt that a match would be voided by VAR not working.
VAR being on vs Spurs does not have any effect on today's match.

It does if salah was offside and var wasn’t available to validate I it has an effect on the season. We were docked two points due to
Technology. That technology wasn’t I use today to potentially rule out opponents goals.

We have to assume it was or it would it would completely remove any integrity from the entire Prem Lge competition this season. If it comes out in the wash that it wasnt then surely it could end up in the courts?

We would not be alone in crying foul....Chelsea and Leicester who also have considerable wealth would surely be taking very expensive legal council over the matter.

I really cannot see there having been a problem with it today other than those that were using it.

Why the quick decisions instead of the normal 2 minute piss take?
Why the lack of official VAR graphics on the offside (30 minutes after the incident)
Why were the assistant referee's behaving like pre-VAR (i.e. Flagging for everything)?

I'll take one of those being the case, but all three?

That’s all I want. I want to see the official var graphic showing me salah was onside. I don’t believe it was done according to var. it takes much longer than that.

I don't believe it exists. They (Sky) gave a dodgy graphic 30 minutes after the incident, and the line wasn't even straight.
