VAR impact and consequence log - game 27

Like Laportes ?
No, it’s different for the attacker. Laporte was the attacker so it only has to hit any part of his arm, intentional or not, AND THEN CREATE A GOAL SCORING OPPORTUNITY OR HAVE A SHOT, for it to be hand ball.

But Laporte did not create a goal scoring opportunity or have a shot after it hit his hand.

I honestly think it was offside. It looked it on the replay. Unless they paused it on the wrong frame or something and the VAR check did it correctly. I’m not sure, but he did look marginally offside. I didn’t celebrate until they had kicked off.
That’s where we are at now , can’t celebrate until we kick off ? Ffs what’s the fucking point , games finished.

I never celebrate any more as it’s only a goal then the ko then it’s to late

I think Frank Lampard summed up the problem with VAR. He said it was introduced only to correct the "Clear & Obvious Errors".
With the handball incident for Jesus's goal, how in hell could that be described as C & O. The ref', Spur's players, TV commentators, nobody saw it. It took VAR dozens of replays amd a forensic investigation to spot it.
I think the PL are now beginning to realise this but is it fair to change their use of VAR now? To allow a goal to stand now, if scored under similar circumstances, which could earn a team 3 points, would be totally unfair to City.

first post updated for the Dippers farce.

Go easy on me, I'm trying to be objective here and as I missed the game "for personal reasons" I'm having to rely on available highlights

So, Spurs and 'pool are the two games that Premier League VAR has given us consequences. PLVAR is of course different to FIFA VAR, UEFA VAR and Champions League VAR...
