I think it’s a crap idea personally. But I’m coming at this as a ‘small club’ man. Refs won’t be consistent in going to VAR. ie non ‘rag’ going down in box, no referral.

Thats not how it works,the VAR system has their own system set up,it's independant of sky or bt and there are more than one person reviewing it

Though I’m still curious to know why the rags & red dippers have, this time at least, had absolutely no success in ‘persuading’ all the middle to lower ranked premier league teams to join them in voting it out

Martin Samuel seems to think the "small clubs" will indeed suffer. Teams that attack more will invariably do better than they currently are. The subtle but desperate tugs to stop Aguero et al in the box for example i can see getting pulled up. That said, we are an extreme case where that will play out against whoever is second even, we should see more benefit than anyone else i should imagine going with Samuel's logic.

I can see some more old skool style managers suffering badly. You guys should be ok really, you try to play footy. If anyone ends up with Big Sam they will be fucked hehe.

True but with the huge amounts of money they are paying I'm guessing it's only a matter of time before they will want some kind of input.

I’m sceptical that it’ll work in our favour, maybe it’s just me but I think they’ll still find a way to cheat us.

I don’t think they could.

For example, if a goal is clearly offside, the VAR official/ref will look corrupt as fuck if they allow it, when it’s clear for all the World to see that it’s the wrong decision.

No it’s isnt. It’s not one person nor do they rely on Sky/BT. They have access to all camera feeds. Haven’t you seen the VAR monitor banks?
