Yeh I agree. Will take a few years to iron out and nothing will be 100% but any form of improvement to these decisions will make the game better and fairer.

That tonight was an utter disgrace.
Clear red card yet fans in the ground get to look at a ref pointing to his ear for 2-3 mins and all of a sudden the player gets to stay on.
Its an absolute joke the way they want to use it in this country and it simply will not work.

I thought it was probably the right call tbh. Never looked a red in real time.

Watch it again Ric. Sliding in and not in control and he he just cleans both of the lads legs out before contacting the ball.
Only takes a stud to get caught in the ground and his leg is snapped like that.
That aside VAR as it is used in this country like it is simply will not work as the crowd see a player sent off then for 2 mins a ref with a finger in his ear and all of a sudden the decision is changed.
No communication, nothing.
Its plain wrong.

It's the pace he went in, knowing he wasn't getting the ball first which does it for me.
He could have just committed a normal foul. It was a dangerous, sulking challenge.

Many think VAR will produce a more balanced playing But recent weeks suggest it may not. It’s raising expectations but, I honestly think we will see inconsistencies largely because there’s always room for subjectivity and we don’t seem to be getting sufficient transparency.

The ref has to go and view it himself on a screen with the crowd seeing the same pictures and all communication between him and the VAR, Linesmen, 4th official broadcast to both tv and the crowd.
Total transparency is key but why we feel we dont need the actual ref to change decisions but some shadowy figure in a van i will never know and they bring every bit of flak on themselves.
Im convinced if he looks at that himself on the sidelines he does with his orginal decision but what happened to clear and obvious?
