It will rip the spontaneous joy away from the game completely.
I was all for it and its easy to want it when you are on the end of a shitty decision like we have been over the last few years but the reality of it and the realisation that it wont solve all and brings with it even more serious issues like fans at a game not knowing wtf is happening and seeing decisions given and overturned that you still say are wrong leaves you back at the start and thinking you know what, what we had whilst not perfect, worked and at least gave all fans the talking points down the boozer for a few days and by and large they where minimal.
VAR, hawkeye etc works in other sports, its just never going to work in football imo.
Do you not think the fans not knowing is deliberate to discredit /build frustration against it. Seem to manage it no problem in Rugby/Cricket, and have done for 15 years so why is it so difficult in football. Rags/Bin Dippers will be the only grounds where fans wont see decisions back, so there wont be transparency on decisions anywhere, which is a joke. Who's that to protect, ill give you 3 guesses, the aforementioned. Everyone knows if this comes in with little controversy then the playing field is levelled and the Cartel clubs will suffer. Second main criticism is the time it takes. Again, in Rugby/Cricket they don't have this stupid thing of the ref trotting across the pitch to relook at decisions and to check they're correct. They verify what's happened and if an error was made its corrected quickly by VAR. Funny that in football they came up with a ludicrous process despite having multiple Best Practices in place, but choose to ignore them all!!
