VAR (PL introduction 2019)

I actually think this will benefit us in March/April.

The last 2/3 years the team's really come undone in some big games when we get shitty decisions, or seemingly unfair decisions and it's happened in this game as well - everyone's looking around like it's not fair, West Ham have been allowed back in the game.

If this happens half a dozen times before the Quarter-finals of the CL, they should go through it enough to just get over a bad decision and put it behind them, instead of dwelling on it.

Whatever the criticism of VAR- this is going to help us more than any other team.

Also the refs/officials will eventually learn and pass a decision faster ? Well maybe not.

I think Sterling's second goal shows exactly why people aren't comfortable with VAR being used to make decisions on incredibly clisry offsides. The pictures used to make the decision show that Raheem is moving faster than the frames of the camera can record properly so his can they be used for such a marginal decision? With the first disallowed goal if the screen is frozen a frame earlier then the goal is allowed and City go 3-0 up, the technology isn't there to make such close decisions, they need to either upgrade the technology or change the rules to make sure they are compatible with VAR.
