VAR (PL introduction 2019)

It's not just match-going fans. Watching it on the internet today and it ruined the experience.
yeah......at the match its a chance for opposition supporters (us included) to laugh at premature celebrations.

It's going to happen a lot and ruin some last minute league winning goals.

An offside flag I can cope with ...not this.

A lot of valid points against Var here. That said I am in favour of it. It needs looking at for certain but today it made sure the correct decisions were made. Perhaps the offside rule itself needs adjusting?

We all know how we often get screwed by officials and VAR at least makes it harder for them to do that.

Would we have lost that CL quarter final against Liverpool had VAR been in operation? No chance.

It is a joke. Where is the joy in celebrating a goal ? Our disallowed goal was pure joy to watch and yet it was chalked off because apparently Sterlings forearm was offside !!

Those mentioning the lack of or delay in celebrating goals, perhaps its just me but I have been like that since fucking Alf Grey, I always suspect they will find a reason to disallow the goal. So in that respect is VAR really responsible for muted or delayed celebrations?

It's a very sad day for me. I have lost the spontaneity of a goal celebration. I can see that kun made a mess of his penalty but move on. What now? Appeal for encroachment!! A sad s day indeed.

I wonder if it will make indisputable goals even more special? A perfect freekick, a mazy solo goal or a thunderbolt like Kompany vs. Leicester are going to become like a tier above normal goals because there's no chance VAR needs to review them and everyone will celebrate without reservation.
