That's what happens when a system is corrupted, no-one believes anything of it.

that's because some just enjoy being permanently outraged, get rid of VAR and you'll still be calling refs, linos, FA, officials all corrupt - so it makes no difference anyway

I don't think I have ever said everyone is corrupt. I said the system is corrupted. @SebastianBlue can mansplain it to you. I think I am pretty fair to officials and the governing bodies :)

I hate that I now have to support VAR over this incident, but VAR should be congratulated when it gets something right, and this SAOT, ball and player sensor thing is a big improvement if we really want accuracy to 1mm. But we can't complain then when the technology to 1mm is more accurate than the naked eye.

The ball has sensors in it and they’ve got computer cameras all over the pitch. Their software will know it’s either in play or not so it’s either the right decision or wrong but if trust the software over a human eye any day of the week on stuff like this. It’s exactly like the Stones clearance on the line against Liverpool.
It’s not a hill I’m going to die on, I simply don’t know how good the technology they have in place for this situation is, if it was between the posts I wouldn’t even question it, it’s not something I’ve looked into, I’m more than happy with the outcome though.
