VAR thread 2022/23

After yesterday it’s coming to the point where I am done with football. The manipulation to give the red teams a helping hand or to ensure someone like us don’t keep winning the league is there for all to see. I have already stopped watching live games as how can I celebrate a goal if it might be ruled out by some biased twat hundreds of miles away in a room. No honest disclosure as officials aren’t miked up and nothing from the VAR officials. In every other sport you know the reason why a decision is made.

That decision yesterday just shows how hell bent the F.A and PIGMOL are complicit in pinning there colours to the mast on where they want the title to end up this season

With the bin dippers crashing and burning so early on and out of the race who else were they going to turn to give a helping Hand for the global brand of the premier league

Many a true word spoken in jest ?

PiGMOL are the true villains of the piece serving the interests of the PL .

How many signatures are needed on a petition for it to be looked at by the government?
I'm sure fans from other clubs are also sick of not hearing how decisions are made in this dodgy VAR format and would sign.
It's the people's game so it's only the people who can push for change.
We and other fans mustn't do a Pep and accept "this is Old Trafford" or "this is Anfield".
It needs to change or this very wrong way of how they run football will become part of the fabric of the game and the norm for future football supporters, our kids and grandkids.
We cant allow this to happen.

PS still fuming

You know it was bad yesterday when even Ten bob said he would have been furious if that was a goal against them.

Would love all PL clubs to come together on this and ask for VAR to be either transparent or binned off

It’s going well in Scotland:
“None of this is to suggest VAR has been a success story in Scotland. Far from it. Its arrival during a season – agreed to by clubs – was bizarre. A series of penalties were awarded from October to the World Cup break, largely for handball, which would never have been granted early in the season. Competitive fairness is therefore open to question. Those in high office screamed about the value of the paying fan when desperately trying to reopen turnstiles during Covid. And yet no widespread canvassing of supporters over this project was undertaken. The in-game experience for spectators has been consistently – and Postecoglou is correct here – muddled.”
