He does if he plays for Utd or Liverpool silly.

VAR is a shitshow. It’s ruined the emotion of the game and for fans in the ground it’s even worse that for those wanting to throw something through the tv!

Media and PiGMOB love it though and you can be certain that someone, somewhere is always benefitting form decisions that leaves many of us scratching our heads at.

Why is there record attendances and TV viewers now than ever before ?

Why do more and more managers/players in lower leagues that don’t have VAR want it ?

If VAR was so blatantly corrupt why can’t you get real solid proof ? Many many people would have to be involved so surely something would have come out by now

All you have is comparing the odd decision from one match to another - which is very easy to do with or without VAR

It’s utter shite.

You constantly rowing against the tide desperately trying to validate it only confirms the majority of us against it are correct.

Agree with this.

I just think they sometimes rush decisions, especially offsides and it needs tweaking.

I genuinely think Rashford was offside vs Liverpool and I think Isaac was onside vs them.

But there are far less controversial decisions now and teams aren’t being as robbed as they were.

For every decision we had against us last season, we had one go for us.

The emotion side I do get but it didn’t stop the scenes on the final day last year, when Gundogan tapped in at the back post the stadium had its 2nd greatest celebration.

so no constructive replies to some genuine questions which could open up a good debate

just the usual boring ''it's sh*t' , 'it's all corrupt'' bla bla which doesn't get us anywhere

VAR is here to stay whether we like it or not, Improvements and developments are needed and will be done each season

Sorry mate you ruin this thread for me, you won't accept any contrary view to your own on VAR. What could be an interesting debate ends in arguments

Just look at the camera angle they CHOSE to show the viewers here.

You could EASILY roll that back 4 or 5 frames and CLAIMED it was the moment the pass was made and the attacker would have appeared MILES onside.

That is how easy it is to manipulate the system.

Comparing the Newcastle offside with Rashford's offside, and looking specifically at the camera frame used to "lock in" the point the ball was played. With a blurred shot of the ball (Newcastle and virtually every other VAR offside decision I have ever seen) we all know the ball has been played. So the first camera shot showing a blurred ball is hard to argue against.

The VAR for Rashford goal though, shows a relatively still ball, which is a strong indication to me that the ball hasn't been passed at the time of the camera shot. They should have rolled the camera forward until we saw a definite blurring of the ball, in the direction of the pass.

I'm convinced Rashford was offside, and this would have been clearer had they moved the camera forward until we saw a blurred ball. I can't recall ever seeing a non-blurred shot of a ball before in a VAR offside call.

For what it's worth, I think Newcastle were offside too, and I'm also in the school of thought that measuring against the boots on the floor would eliminate 90% of any remaining controversy.

The point is, it is meant to stop all that, there should be no for or against us decisions as they should be just the correct decisions, what is happening is still blatantly the wrong decisions being made over and over again.
 
@BlueHammer85 you need to accept that VAR has genuinely made some stop enjoying the game that they have loved for generations.
Just because it's not affected you and others who seem to welcome it with open arms doesn't mean many others feel the same.
The biggest gripe I've got is I no longer have the spontaneous outburst of joy when we score. I have to hold it in until I'm sure it counts. That doesn't mean everyone is the same of course but that's my experience since it's roll out and for those reasons alone, before we even get into the suspicious use of it on occasion is enough to put me in the 'not convinced' camp.

Hopefully it will be improved upon in the future as I'm aware its here to stay.
