VAR Vote - On Behalf of City Matters

Is the actual vote a secret? Will it stay with the PL, the clubs, abd PGMOL?

If so, once again the fans are excluded from knowing which clubs voted for and against it.

They tell us fuck all. And they still expect us to accept their decisions without questioning their decisions.

With it or without the fans, the people running football still do what they want to do.

The vote was 19-1.

That shows how out of touch the clubs are with their fans.

I don’t want to here a single club owner, manager or player complaining about VAR next season.

It’s here to stay, regrdless of all the mistakes, so they have to an accept it, mistakes and all.
Well said.

I agree with having a judicial system.

Doesn’t mean I’d accept being sent to prison for 20 years for something I didn’t do without a bit of a moan about it.

THIS!!
You wanted it, now STF UP & live with what you wanted.
Presumably only Wolves voted against keeping it, so they are exempt for this ;-)

Always hated it but i'd keep it for penalties/red cards as that doesn't delay goal celebrations.

As for offsides, if a linesman can't tell if a player is offside or not then there's no obvious advantage being gained so give the benefit of the doubt to the attacking player. This whole thing of goals being disallowed because the player didn't cut his toenails the night before has made it all a right fucking farce.

Absolutely agree with this. I'd say that if the player is offside by the depth of their torso (give or take two or three centimetres), and it hasn't been spotted, then that's a clear advantage that they've gained. That, it seems to me, would be workable. It's common sense and I'd venture that most people who've played the game at any level would agree.
If they've got to get fucking lines out, then neither the ref nor the two linos are being trusted. Hate it. That chalked-off Raheem goal in the CL against Spurs was honestly one of the worst experiences I've gone through whether watching a match in the stadium or on a screen. Still a wound even now.
Anyway, they've voted for it, so that's that. Be curious to know if the players were consulted on that, though.

Wolves voted to keep it, it was City who voted against it, bastards, 116!

The above was a shit joke.

So 20 fans voted?
The question was do you want to retain VAR in its current form. No wonder almost everyone voted no - no one including the clubs are happy with the status quo.
The Clubs voted yes to an amended version of VAR with automated offside and official announcements following VaR decisions.
It’s here to stay and will continue to refine and improve

Showing replays on the screen for fans to see is fine at 18 of the PL stadiums but the two cheeks of the same arse don’t have big screens.
