Vegetarians - Meat replacements

All of them. Wild poultry is in abundance (goose, duck, pigeon, pheasant) wild boars, wild bovine animals like Gaurs and Buffalo, wild sheep are basically Ibex.

Again, it's not denying anything a life. You aren't denying a chicken a life every time you eat an egg.
Supermarkets don't get their supplies from wildebeest roaming the Serengeti

Shopping today and looking at all the new plant based ranges , it occurred to me why do vegetarians/ vegans decide against eating meat but then choose and design food products that are designed to look and taste like the type of food they are looking to avoid? If they want a plant / vegetable based diet why not eat plants and vegetables that look like what they are rather than adding in preservatives and additives to make them look like something else?
Does it effect your life in anyway ?

YAWN.

My mrs is veggie. I’m not. But this is a boring, stupid argument.

It’s entirely reasonable to both a) not want to eat animals but b) also think sausages and bacon are tasty, and want to eat something that resembles those foods.

Deary fucking me. Not that hard to grasp is it.

I would say eating meat can impact your critical faculties but you seem to have grasped this straightforward point :-)

Well, you can't have everything, that's just life. Tell her to eat some proper sausage and bacon.

As a veggy for 2 years I have grown up my whole life being a meat eater but decided to change my diet based on my personal beliefs (not expecting anyone to share them) and believing as a consequence I would be a healthier person. Pretty normal to wish to enjoy similar tastes/textures but follow your own values in the same process.
