Victory Parade?

May the 13th! One year on.

Two days after our cup final. Win or lose.(Let's take the limelight away from City)

Coincidence?

But.

Home game, packed route into the city centre via Deansagte, finishing off in Exchange Square.

No repeat of the embarrassing scenes when they last paraded the trophy.

It's all been thought through and planned. The Rags are playing the game on and off the pitch.

So, are they getting the trophy before they play their last match so that they can parade it? Very strange. Also, what happens if baconface is found to have colluded with opposition managers to play a series of scrappy 1-0 victories? Or something else occurs between now and then that causes a points deduction? Stranger things have happened...

Just seen front page of MUEN in newsagent and that twat Mike Keegan is making out that they have nicked the date we would have chosen if we win the FA Cup. Yes that's right Keegan we would have had a parade the day before we play away at Reading!!! Not that the players will probably stay down south after Wembley win or lose!!! Complete and utter tosser and just shows the standard of the Trinity Mirror owned MUEN. And of course the rags are brain dead as well choosing that date as if it would piss us off!

what.. i remember the parade after we beat newcastle in 76 and that was in the league cup, of course we should have a parade

My first ever City final, and parade, pretty sure the figure quoted was 150,000 who turned up to see it? As mentioned elsewhere, that would indicate it is far from insignificant........ctwd

Any team that wins it before the end of the season receives the trophy at their last home game, it's nothing specific to the rags.

If the rags had of wanted an early parade , before the seasons closure , then why couldn't they have gone for May 6th , a bank holiday .... if it was offered ????
There's no way they'd have been offered a Bank Holiday.

Does seem a strange choice though; you'd have thought they'd wait til the end of the season.

Neither club should have been allowed to parade anything before the seasons closure , but i suppose these days , more than ever , you have to take into account players holidays , club tours etc ..... and seasons end friendly/promotional fixtures that a club commits to for one reason or another.

Here's his Twitter page. Guess what his lead story is? You guessed it!

I did hear we weren't bothering this year?

The plan was to present the Cup should we win it, at a home game.

The squad fly out to the States pretty much after the Norwich game, so the window is very small.

I see United can't have the Town Hall or Albert Square!
