This thread is a bit raggish IMO!
Can't we just win the FA Cup first before we plan a parade?

We waited until the 23rd May (final was 14th May) two years ago because we were playing Stoke that midweek.
IF we do win the FAC we should definitely have a parade though. Make it the week after the final Prem game like we did in 2011.
My thoughts exactly we have Reading away the day after the team wont be having any parade on the Monday if we win the cup.

True, Wigan beat Everton 3-0 at Goodison and you would have to go back to 1906 to have seen City do that.blueinsa said:Wigan are a decent little side on their day and it wont be a walkover.

I have never heard of this being done before the season ends.
Believe you me it is calculated - I take it as a compliment - we have come this far that they have to have this straight after a 'potential' FA Cup victory for us.
We have really got under their skin - all this and the murmurings of Rio at al will come back to haunt them in the future - play the long game people.
Echo this. The desperate attempt to usurp us, we should embrace this as its proof they are fixated on everything Manchester City. I always find it laughable that despite the fact they cannot use Manchester Town Hall as a starting point that they still deem it necessary to parade down Deansgate instead of through Trafford. It seems United need Manchester more than Manchester needs United.
With regards to this , you have to blame the city council ..... it's they who have apparently handed the rags a 'choice' of parade dates ..... United may well have chosen one of them 'deliberately' in an attempt to wind up City , and its supporters , but they really shouldn't have been given the May 13th option in the first place!
If the rags had of wanted an early parade , before the seasons closure , then why couldn't they have gone for May 6th , a bank holiday .... if it was offered ????
They're guaranteed the trophy now anyway , so what difference does it make when they're presented with it ?
And that date would have been almost a week before our cup final takes place.

From todays MEN ...
United bosses were handed a series of potential dates for a parade and have opted for May 13. The Reds will be presented with the league trophy after their home match against Swansea the previous day. But the parade will be held six days before they play their last game of the season at West Brom.
