Arturo Vidal to Arsenal: Gunners will 'wait until after Copa America' to sign Juventus star

A deal to bring Arturo Vidal to Arsenal is already complete, claims an Argentinian journalist.

Hernan Feler, who works for DirecTV, says that whilst a deal is in place, the Juventus and Chile midfielder will not be announced at the Emirates until after the team finish their participation in this summer's Copa America.

Feler, apparently the man who broke news of Alexis Sanchez's move to Arsenal, Tweeted: "After the Copa America in Chile, it will be made official the arrival of Arturo Vidal to Arsenal.

"Everything is closed. Alexis [Sanchez] will partner him."

The midfielder also shares an agent, Fernando Felicevich, with Sanchez.

Vidal, 28, would apparently cost around £25million. The energetic midfielder has been an absolutely vital part of Juventus' success this season, the Serie A giants two-thirds of their way through a treble.

25m? Really.

HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt that. Bollocks as far as i am concerned.

If Arsenal sign Vidal, we can forget about Pogba.

They won't sell Vidal and Pogba and also lose Pirlo to the MLS in one window.

Yep, £25m is not a figure that Juventus would accept. The minimum would be 30 and that would be used to hoover up Oscar for around €17.5m.

Juve are resigned to having to replace Pirlo. That is likely to be Khedira who they picked up on a free 5 days ago. They are very likely to complete the transfer of Pereyra for the €14m buyout clause - he's been fairly influential in Juve midfield performances this season. The club seems intent on keeping Pogba and Marchisio.

If we allow Arsenal a free run at him we're playing a very dangerous game.

Vidal and Fernandinho with Yaya slightly advanced would be a perfectly balanced midfield; the Chilean is one of the few in world football who could twat Matic. Barkley signed to learn from Vidal and Yaya how to play the orthodox midfield role would be an ideal scenario this summer, second only to the hugely unlikely prospect of signing Ramsey.

Have a feeling he'll score the first goal in the final on Saturday.
