Vieira could be next City boss

He's an impressive figure, and is clearly highly regarded within the club. Zero chance of him being our next manager though, and rightly so. His managerial career is still in its infancy. It may well be the case that he needs to leave the club to further his managerial ambitions, which would be a shame but understandable.

I am not expecting Patrick to be promoted to become first team manager anytime soon but I was hoping he would get an opportunity to become one of the first team coaches.

I think he will guarantee a few youngsters coming through which to be honest I am concerned about at the moment because I don't know if the plan is to bring through some of the kids eventually or are we just developing kids, then loaning them out, hope they impress, and then sell them on to help our FFP situation.

I actually think we have two or three youngsters good enough for our squad with a few more who have the potential.

Patrick would be a great leadership figure to have in the dressing room as well.

Can someone tell me where this Pep to city stuff comes from? is it just because of the Barca connections? it seems bizarre everyone seems to think he is biding his time to take over the top job in football managing us, why does Vieira have to manage somewhere else first? his chances of being any good at city are as likely if he got the job tomorrow or in 10 years, people don't half come out with some shit

This isn't going to happen.

We will only go for the tried and tested and proven. He does seem very capable though and I am sure he is going to be a decent Manager one day. It still surprises me every time I see his name mentioned that he is such an influential figure at our club when he should really be being groomed to take over from Arsene.

I'm torn on this. He is impressing with the EDS and if the situation does become untenable with Pellegrini it would be interesting to see how Vieira does with the senior side but it is one hell of a gamble at this stage.

I'd prefer him to go to some club for a few years really learn his trade before returning to manage us.

I like viera but he needs more time probably a season more to be in contention,he's a important part of our set up and wouldn't wana loose him if things don't go to well ,probably an assistant manager role would be much better at this stage
