Exactly. There really are some dumb fucks who come out with shite as if they are in the know. What kind of deal would see our EDS coach go out, effectively on a loan, as another team's manager before returning dutyfully to City as and when is convenient to City?

Patrick Vieira could be forced into leaving Manchester City to become a manager

Patrick Vieira is considering whether he has to leave Manchester City to fulfil his ambitions of being a first-team manager.

Vieira has done a great job heading the club’s elite development squad and performs an important ambassadorial role for City.

But he has privately accepted that he is unlikely to be given the top job whenever Manuel Pellegrini leaves and that his career may lead him elsewhere when the right opportunity arises.

Manchester City’s executives Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristian have their hearts set on trying to lure Pep Guardiola to the Etihad when his contract ends at Bayern Munich in 18 months.

Vieira joing Manchester City as a player from Inter Milan in January 2010, and made 28 Premier League appearances for the club before retiring 18 months later.

Upon his retirement he was appointed to the backroom staff at the club to help with elite development in a number of capacities.

Hahahaha yep! They totally ignore the fact that the likes of Vieira has a vast amount of knowledge gained from his successfull career.

Interesting because Txiki were at Barca when they fired Rijkaard and opted for a manager that had no experience with any teams apart from reserve/youth sides. His name was Guardiola.

Of course that worked out incredible well and sure every other clubs can follow that, but Vieira knows our youth setup very well, knows which youngster could make it if given the chance, so would be important to keep him but of course he doenst want to have a whole career of City youth coach when he thinks he can manage serious first teams too.

Whatever way it will go I just hope he wont end up being a really succesful manager for Arseal in next 5-10 years when we had the chance to have him too.

Khaldoon is really a bit of a Blankety Blank goldmine when it comes to his interviews.

"I have the highest regard for _______. It's a testament to their hard work and incredible attitude that _______ is successful. _________ is incredible and I have the highest regard for their hard work which is a testament to them. I'm very proud of ________ whose incredibly high regard I have successfully held testament for them"

each game, vieira makes a different player make a pre match speech in the dressing room, be it from goalkeeper to striker, he makes a different player stand up and do the rallying call, just leaves the players alone for few minutes to form the bond he believes is vital to the team, he has the upmost respect off all the players and staff, if he doesnt get the job at city, he,ll be off to arsenal sooner rather than later, as wengers no 2, then new manager, in my worthless opinion of course

This isn't going to happen.

We will only go for the tried and tested and proven. He does seem very capable though and I am sure he is going to be a decent Manager one day. It still surprises me every time I see his name mentioned that he is such an influential figure at our club when he should really be being groomed to take over from Arsene.

Tried tested and proven ? We have got pellegrini who is the polar opposite of that ?

Only read the last few pages, so maybe this has been suggested before, but, everybody seems to be giving reasons why its going to be manager or leave. Assuming he doesn't want to stay at EDS, which I accept, why can't he be being lined up as assistant manager? That's a perfectly reasonable next step and would suit all parties.

Not saying it will happen, just that the halfway house option is as viable as any other.
