I don't think enough people are willing to accept that Tuesday night's performance took a huge effort, both physically and mentally, add into that a fighting desperate Villa, willing to die for the cause.Yes i more or less said the same in another post on the game. The trouble is when you have that sort of talent on the field as a manager you know any one of them could turn the game in a moment,so are reluctant to change it,unfortunately today it didn't happen.
I took a very good defensive performance as a positive from it, too many look at league tables and just assume it'll be 3,4,5-0, football doesn't and never has worked that way, just like last Saturday, last season we'd have probably lost that, instead we have 4 points from 2 games, and in between put in one of our greatest performances ever, something that took a huge effort mentally and physically.
Crisis it isn't.
