Vincent Kompany 2015/16 performances

Chris Waddle made a lot of sense tonight about Kompany, saying that as soon as Kompany says he doesnt feel anything wrong, the managerial staff just play him regardless if he is actually properly fit to play.

Waddle says sometimes a player needs to take a few months to really tackle the problem, not a couple of weeks. Trouble is The Euro's now. Even if Kompany is half fit, he'll be there playing, causing more damage.

As someone who's played in lower american leagues (haha i know) and also played CB...
These injuries, while not to the same exact part, are all related. A 95% calf messes with your alignment and your gate; so then you have secondary muscular and ligaments that try to compensate. Eventually they can't, and you get hurt. Then the cycle continues with that new injury... it's terrible, because in training you feel perfectly fine (especially MCFC under Pellers training....) If he has any shot of ever maintaining world class form, he's got to take off an extended period of time (NO EURO) and literally not touch a ball for the whole summer. Go see some American specialists, see if the best medical technology on earth can repair him completely. Otherwise... there's always a home in the MLS for a big name who can go 75-80% once a week.

If he was an horse he'd of been shot awhile back... Won many races, won us many prizes, but his time is up.

He's in my all time city 11, fucking love the guy... But it upsets me seeing him injuring himself.

He wouldn't have been shot; he'd be put out to stud until he died of old age.

There was a post on here a short while ago saying that kompany was finished based on 'inside information'.
I'm not making this up but can't remember the poster!!!!
Sadly looking more and more likely.

Sad to see. Viny going off changed the game tonight in a bad way for us. And in that view I think we need to let him go now.
Not being able to rely on your team captain is a cancer that, if not cut out, will result in more ercormances like tonight.
I love viny at city but it's not viable to have a captain who is injured 70%of the time.

For what reason? He's given us his best years, been loyal and played his heart out for the past 8 seasons leading us to winning the Premier League after a 44 year wait.

Go away, you're a plastic fan that I'm embarassed is even associated with this club.

Well said.

Probably it for Kompany now, but what a player and man, hope he remains part of the club or returns in some capacity in the future.

He was up for it tonight and we missed his presence once he left the field.
Looks as though it could be the end of an era and worryingly no obvious replacement as a leader, we need him.
