Though I hate to say it I think that's it for him. There's no way Guardiola will build a defence around him or keep him as captain when he's only fit for 20 per cent of games over a season. Unfortunately it is now time to plan ahead without him. Love him to bits but I just can't see how it can work with so many injuries. Especially eith him as captain. You could see how him coming off demoralised the team. It is such a shame as he's been a fantastic servant for this club but there's no room for sentimentality at this level (which tonight by the way was pitiful).

Out of Kompany, Mangala, Otamendi and MDM, I feel certain only Otamendi has a future at City but surprisingly not at Centre Half but as the DeJong role.

Seldom have I seen a player so effective at the sliding tackle. Usually he then likes to play out. Both those traits are risky as last man, however as the man in front of Laporte/Stones centre pair would be awesome.

I would also make him club captain.

Kompany, Zabaleta, Kolarov, MDM, Mangala, Toure, Delph, Bony and Navas should all be moved on.

Too soon? For who? I doubt Kompanys gone into the treatment room and took 5 to look at this thread and feel disrespected. When is a good time to bring up a reoccurring discussion, if not after a big match we have been left disappointed in after his injury yet again set us back?

It's not about attacking our captain.
The clubs needs are more important than sentiment towards vinny.

The clubs needs are paramount but that doesnt mean there is no room for any sentiment for one of the best players in our recent successful history. Action will be taken to resolve future but not in such a vitriolic way

I'd absolutely keep him, his leadership & passion are something we need. We can't ship off Kompany, Zabaleta, Hart (rumoured) all at once, these guys are our leaders on the pitch & know the club far better than most.

Saying that I'd also absolutely build our defence without him. No point picking him + another as our first choice CB partnership if he won't play 50% of the games next season.

I totally get that. We may not be able to rely on him any longer.

But attacking our captain who's been a leader and the perfect representative of this club and will go down as a legend is simply not on. I'll never have a bad word to say about Vinnie and the fact that this 'fan' has is ridiculous!

You can be a positive voice in the dressing room, can still play matches when required. No need to discard someone for being injury prone if they can still offer something to a team - which I believe he can.

If he was an horse he'd of been shot awhile back... Won many races, won us many prizes, but his time is up.

He's in my all time city 11, fucking love the guy... But it upsets me seeing him injuring himself.
