They've had several behind closed doors friendlies as well. Gundogan mentioned them when he played 80 minutes on his return.

Amazing how so many people know better than doctors on here whenever anyone gets injured. It's obvious for everyone to see the lengths the club has gone to in attempting to get Vinny fit and stay fit. You think they'd go to the lengths of monitoring his blood after training for signs of inflammation but then get caught out by playing him for too long?

Behind closed door Friendlies don't replicate matches either.... It was clearly a silly risk to take, in a match that was won, with Tosin on the bench who needs some minutes. the proof suggests they did play him too long as he didn't finish the match. Voids your argument somewhat no?

He had most problems with his calf right? If it's hamstring then at least its a different injury.

Shouldn't have played him for nearly the whole game. It's as if he wants him to get injured. Crazy

Probably pissed off that he may have picked up another knock. Depending on what it is I'll expect Guardiola to get questioned on here for playing him the whole game (it's started already), however I'm sure the medical staff, and Kompany, would have been consulted before the game.

Haven't most of Kompany's injuries usually occured early on in games? The injuries in the Real Madrid and Kiev games were in the first few minutes. He was injured against Sunderland a few minutes after coming on as a sub. I seem to vaguely recollect other games (Everton in 13/14?) when he was injured in the first half. Fatigue doesn't seem to be a cause of his injuries.

It does seem ominous that he walked off.

there is obviously an underlying problem with his body they cant identify or miss, so doubt fatigue is cause of all these problems.
Just hope they keep persisting because a fit Vinny would be massive for us.

If he felt something wasn't right I'd have thought walking straight off too get medical advice, is the professional thing to do

Walking off was the correct decision.

We had no subs left. No point in going to ground. If it is a hamstring he could well have torn it by carrying on. He stays on that football pitch it could have been a whole lot worse.

Those calling him out need to give there fucking heads a wobble.
