To me it looked like he grabbed his hamstring, which is better news. He's had nothing but calf problems recently and if it is his hamstring, it might just be because he's not played for so long and not a recurrence of an old injury. Fingers crossed he's ok anyway. Obviously it didn't look good last night but hopefully it isn't the end for Vinnie.

He has had calf problems but did he not have an operation on a thigh muscle earlier this year which has accounted for his recent lay-off?

Very strange behavior by Vinny. Neither informed his teammates, nor the medical staff, nor Pep (even when he asked) & just walked off when the match still had 2 minutes left. Highly unprofessional even if he got a serious injury. Clearly he is pissed off? Still not the right thing to do imo. More than anything, he has explaining to do to his teammates & coaching staff to walk off like that. I hv NEVER seen any player go off like that. Hope I am wrong. Maybe the cameras didnt catch the entire event. Hopefully we will get clarity on his condition today.

You surely must have some good proof for such a statement.
Otherwise I would propose to you and everybody else to wait a bit for some facts and a statement by Komps before judging...

Walesonline saying: "Following Gylfi Sigurdsson's late goal in Swansea City's 2-1 EFL Cup defeat to Manchester City, the centre-back ordered a team-mate to hoof the ball off the field before disappearing."

That's different to the fact you have been posting above.

All of us don't have any idea...
- if or how Komps got injured
- if Komps would have preferred not to play for 90 mins
- about the pre-match plans of Pep and the doc about Komps for that match
- if Komps handed over the captain's armband before leaving
- why he didn't talk to Pep before leaving
...and so on.

We maybe will get some answers in the next pre-match presser tomorrow.

As I said, the proof is in the fact the game restarted after the goal. If he'd just walked off, the game would have started with ten men.
