To be fair, those in their mid 30's and early 40's managed to choose/be dragged into supporting City during our nadir and carried on whilst everyone else our age ended up Liverpool and United fans.

Those in their 50's were glory hunters following our great team of the late 60's.

Not entirely correct. We didn't have a great team until 1968, whereas I'm in my late 50's and was a blue from 1965... Hardly a Glory Hunter ffs. We were a 2nd division team...lived in Newton Heath as well.

To be fair to him its not as simple with his history of injuries. Every injury now is potentially a career threatening one.

Because he would have made the injury worse,pep said if you are injured you can't stay on the pitch
