Since the beginning of last season:

Fit - 8 games, 704 minutes

INJURED 5 weeks

Fit - 6 games, 418 minutes

INJURED 7 weeks

Fit - 1 game, 9 minutes

INJURED 7 weeks

Fit - 7 games, 496 minutes

INJURED 5 weeks

Fit - 3 games, 189 minutes.

INJURED 20 weeks

Fit - 1 game, 90 minutes

That 1906 minutes on the pitch - the equivalent of 21 games - and 44 weeks out injured.

44 weeks injured out in the last 59 weeks.

I love Vinny, but I just don't know how he can keep doing this if he's really got another injury that will keep him out for a long time.

Still I hope they keep searching for a solution and they find one.
Surprising he actually played that many games given the length of time he was out. Not looking good for him getting back to be honest. Additionally, I think he may find it difficult to get a regular place if he does get fit. Having watched Kolorov closely from the stands last Saturday I am not sure that Vinny is capable of offering the scope and variety of what Kolo gives at the moment. Otto and Stones are playing very well also so Vinny is no longer the first name on the team sheet anymore. That said I am sure if the body is willing he can raise his game to the level required to break into the team.

I’d ignore the papers. The club are clearly waiting on the doctors to have a good look at the situation. However no news is probably bad news. If he was fine we would know by now.

That really makes sense.

A new injury would be a disaster. Not for his body, for his mind.
I thought his comeback match only had one target: to stay fit and let nothing negative happen. Just that.
Komps didn't have to prove that he is good. We always knew that. It was only about fitness.
And of course he shouldn't play 90 mins. Why take that risk?

I hope Komps was just hugely disappointed and not annoyed about Pep leaving him on the pitch.
Be interesting to hear about that later.

Along with everyone else who actually knows anything about injuries I don't know what Vinnies chances of getting back into regular football are we simply don't have the information.
He would though when fit get back into our team without a doubt he is twice the defender of anyone else and three times the defender of Kolarov. (And I've never been a Kolarov boo boy)

I assume we will hear more after Pep's presser today
At last a reasonable post
Injured Wednesday night
Scanned yesterday in all likelihood
Assessed by specialist yesterday after scan or today
Expect news from Pep in pre match conference
No need for panic yet

To be fair, those in their mid 30's and early 40's managed to choose/be dragged into supporting City during our nadir and carried on whilst everyone else our age ended up Liverpool and United fans.

Those in their 50's were glory hunters following our great team of the late 60's.
Glory hunters? Christ, I'm 53 next month and first game I went to was Liverpool away in the cup (Feb 1973). I was in the Anfield road end, lost a shoe, couldn't see anything and so I gave it up there and then.
Next game was Liverpool again, at home in 1977, still in with a chance of the league but drew 1-1. That was the one that got me hooked, the year after we won a trophy! Season ticket followed and the rest was years of darkness illuminated by ethereal moments of brilliance. Hunting this 'glory' takes a fair bit of patience and resilience, by the looks of it.....

Glory hunters like you disgust me.

My hypothesis was based on first game at age 5.
