Go on, have a stab in the dark.. Haha!I can't imagine.

I think he means that if you get injured in a tackle then that's part and parcel for a defender, but Kompany's calf muscles just kept breaking down and had nothing directly to do with the football game. What are the reasons that Pep is referring to?
"You have to avoid a situation where he starts he gets injured again. Ok, you have to accept the injury if it’s because of football, but not for the reasons that have happened to Vincent in the last three years."

Was he practising for Strictly come dancing? I think being rushed back before fully recovered is very much directly to do with the football game.I think he means that if you get injured in a tackle then that's part and parcel for a defender, but Kompany's calf muscles just kept breaking down and had nothing directly to do with the football game.

Now I'm not putting all the blame on our ex manager because I'm sure Vinny forced the issue in desperation to play and the medical team have to take their share, but between all three parties the situation wasn't managed well at all last year.
I didn't forget. I just don't think that was as big a deal as what all the wet Fannys on here were making it.You forget that he played for Belgium when Pellegrini specifically asked him not to, and the national manager not to pick him. He promptly got injured again.

No.I agree.
But do you think he'll do the same during the next '3 year period' ?
If not, I wonder why ?
The original article refers to impact injuries. There's no mystery in that regard.I'm sure there is another explanation, as there is with everything else.

I thought that he was back in full training and that we'd see him back on the bench at least after this international break but sounds like there is still a little way to go
Imagine a back 4 of
Stones
Kompany
Otamendi
Kolarov
With Stones and Kolarov taking up the CM positions rather than blasting up and down the wing like we saw vs Sunderland. On current form that would be near impossible for most PL teams to break down, especially with Fernandinho in front.
Good point, although he wouldn't necessarily be at a full-back role, more like a slightly wider CB.Not fair on Stones to shift him to fullback after a such a big money move as a CB & going into the England team imo. If he fucks up, it puts him under loads of pressure.
Very good.I would definitely pick a goalkeeper.. I wouldn't even hesitate about this decision
I'm willing to hear you outI'm talking about Pep's specific comment about his injuries during a '3 year period'. Not 4 years, not 2 years, not 18 months, a '3 year period'.
I recon I have a good idea, why he has picked out a '3 year period'.
But it will be explained away. Just like his comments re Sterling, Otamendi etc etc.
Please don't get him going on mp againI'm willing to hear you out
Seems notIs he set to be fit for the derby? Do think we need his height and physicality.
Seems not
Pep: “Every day he is much better but still the blood tests are not perfect & until the blood tests are perfect, he is not going to play.”
