Yes, players are different, but you can't tell me one good reason Virgil Van Dijk has to move to Liverpool over even Chelsea, let alone to us. Even if he did have different aspirations, an extra £20,000 a week can help put life back into perspective.

I for one personally don't believe any ITK's or any bullshit speculation until a player is pictured holding the shirt up. Too many people flap and panic for the sake of it. Just chill, if he comes, great, if he doesn't, on to the next target. I am sure pep knows exactly what we need.

As a central defender I feel Prem experience is a big help, Savic, Botang, Mangala and Otamendi to a degree struggled.
