Excellent news!! Looks like Liverpool have made a desperation bid to make the Top 4 and get CL football next year. Then again, when they sell Coutinho, who will they buy with the balance of the cash. Trading VVD for Coutinho plus A.N. Other doesn’t seem like good business to me, but the owners have obviously made their long term Klopp decision and have backed him to the hilt with this record transfer fee for a defender! (And thank goodness we can shove that down a few dipper throats if they EVER mention money ever again!)

True it doesn't have to be, but it read as if it was from someone at the Club to me. Not from a journo? Anyway it stacks up as there is no way City would pay that kind of money as a back up for stones and Otamendi. Both of which have been excellent together and will always be first choice imo when fit.
