Good signing for Liverpool if it happens. It's expensive, but it should fill a huge problem for them and it only takes him being the difference between CL and not for one season for the signing to be worthwhile.

It reads completely different to me, Southampton would have no reason to mention any other club than Liverpool in the press release. How often do you see losing bids mentioned by the selling club?
I think although not official it might have been linked. Remember Saints were really pissed off when Liverpool tapped up VVd , lots of rumours about two separate prices obe for Liverpool ans one for other interested clubs. and that kind of statement would placate their fans. Ie we really had Liverpool over a barrel.

it was on bbc report. I hope we did pull out because of the obscene amount, the amount if shite we would have got for that is equal to the amount Liverpool will get if he turns out to be a waste, especially if we fuck them over again at their ground with VVD playing

No they wouldnt they can demand what they want from whoever? It often happens. There's no law against that my friend. Don't you recall that Liverpool were close to the deal for 60m in the summer it's now 75m. Anyway I've got a game to watch. Cheers
