Viz

It's notable that in this age of cleansing of the non-pc comedic past that viz seems to go under the radar - apart from 'The nice honest gypsies' thing of course.

I find myself surprised yet relieved that some of their stuff hasn't landed themselves in physical harm considering some of the nut jobs out there.

When I was courting Mrs BTB in the 80's, I bought a copy of Viz (first ever copy, never heard of it at the time) to pass a bit of time as I was a bit early when I went to pick her up..

I sat on a bench in the Arndale Centre and waited for her to finish work.

Every page had me absolutely pissing myself laughing, so much so that unbeknown to me I was attracting some seriously funny looks..

I tried to get a grip and pull myself together but I couldn't put it down, I had tears running down my face..

Anyway she turned up and off we went..

Later on she told me that when she came out of the shop she worked at, all she could hear was some bloke uncontrollably laughing, this before she could actually see him .

She thought someone was missing their carer..

We'd only been going out for a few months and she said she nearly carried on walking past when she realised it was me ..!

Not bought a copy for years but reading this thread took me back to being 20 again..

Definitely my sense of humour..
