And North Macedonia prevented Italy getting to this World Cup. So if we lost a game against North Macedonia should we just shrug our shoulders because of their results against the European champions?

Or, should we look at it a slightly different way. For example, that Euros final being a virtually put on the plate opportunity to actually win something, at Wembley against a nation that pretty low on quality when compared to other generations.

Not a Southgate fan, but credit where it's due, his rotation and subs were pretty much spot on. I think he got just about the right amount of minutes for all players correct.

There’s a difference, they go on to win major tournaments so don’t use a win against the worst German team in history to justify not winning a tournament.
