In place of who?

well i wouldn't be up in arms with whoever he starts
its the managers job to pick the team, not social media fans

but if the front 3 was Saka-Kane-Rashford that's a very good front 3

also if it was Foden-Kane-Saka i'd say that is very strong aswell

We did get smashed & humiliated but come on, some English fans are behaving as if you are kings of football after beating our shit side last night.
You're certainly miles better than us, you proved it last night but you've won one major tournament, ever, and that was at home, with every game at Wembley.
Of course you are a good side but you are not one of the big boys of international football, we'll leave that for the serial winners.
I hope you go on and win the whole thing, i have loads of English friends and i'd be happy for them but if you do win it, i hope a lot of your fans show some much needed humility.

Final and Semi final in last 2 major tournaments - we are one of the big boys of international football whether you can accept it or not.

A capable manager picks Foden, as does any capable manager in the fucking world. Nothing to do with social media fans, that’s just another in a long line of cop outs we often see from you on an England related thread. Your problem is you’re too easily pleased and accept whatever the shitcunt in charge does because supporting England is what’s important to you, not actually looking at how they can improve.

and you're just obsessed with a manager playing a player for a team you support

if Rashford is dropped next game, Man Utd forums will be crying and calling the manager a c*nt

Do you get this angry when Pep doesn't start him ?

As i've mentioned, couldn't care less who he starts - if England win, and play well as a bonus then yeh, im easily pleased.

*also, love Foden, so exciting to watch, pure class.

The fact that England’s best player happens to play for the team I support is neither here nor there. If Foden played for utd or liverpool I’d be saying exactly the same thing.

Well International football fans are like that all over the world, where football is a big deal, it’s just some back and forth. If Wales beat England yesterday, we both know there would be so many shots fired from Wales fans too.

I have no problem with any fans, England included, getting carried away, thinking their side can win it and is great. It’s the best way to enjoy tournament football. As long as people don’t turn into knobs and spill over into needless conflict, which happens.

I’ve never cared much for the past, 1966 etc etc my parents were barely born then, never mind me. At the end of the day it’s the same country but a different set of players, it has no relevance to what happens today, no matter how much the media gush over it. Same with all other countries and their past winners, Which is why Uruguay are not “big boys” anymore.

England haven’t won anything for a long time. But they reached the semi final 4 years ago and a final last year, so they are proving they have been one of the “big boys” of international football in the past few years. Whether they go on to win something or get dumped out by Senegal on Sunday is another matter, but based on the most recent tournaments up to his one, England are one of the top teams in international football.

I think the large majority of English fans have some humility. Most you speak to will hope England can win but probably not expect it. You’ll get a percentage of knobs no matter which club or country you follow.

Whats more important the 2 goals Rashford scored or someone who can control the ball? because that first half playing a better team and giving the ball away 7/8 times first half could cost us goals and we out the game! If England play him on the right and don’t give him balls back to goal he be fine!

All the talk is Rashford to start next is in full flow now!

That’s just the nature of supporting a club and it’s players

It’s funny really, if you go on any forum for any club, it’s basically all the same. Fans complaining the media have it in for them, the refs favour other sides, etc.

I’m sure Liverpool fans will be saying Trent should be starting because he’s more of an attacking threat or something.

United fans will now be demanding Rashford starts

Chelsea fans sticking to their guns that Mount should play.

But Foden is a slightly different matter because right across the board, everyone has been calling for him to play, right down to ex pro’s with affiliations to rival sides. It goes beyond club loyalty in this case. I think no matter who you support, most sensible people know he is way too good to be sat on the bench at a World Cup.

Yep agree with all that and deep down i know (and want) Foden starting - but if we're winning then i really don't care either way
