Wasting money on expensive items

I bought a £1400 titanium omega seamaster 22 years ago as a treat with a bonus I got. That’s cost me £60 a year up to now. It’s a great watch i I like it. Lots of people comment but it’s not for that at all. I like it and it’s just the same nick as it was 22 years ago. It’s now worth more than I paid. I will never sell it as I like it. I’ll leave it my lad when I depart and he will enjoy it as well. I think it’s value for money similar to a Lacoste t shirt I’ve had 15 years i still wear it today. Other t shirts have departed every year. Some stuff is overpriced shite but certain things are value for money. We are only here once …

Which model mate? I'm guessing it's the 3 dial chrono? If so that's a great watch. Quite rare in titanium, and impressively, although counter intuitive, weighs fuck all.
Another example of horological expertise and innovation.

Yes mate that’s the one I love it and gives me pleasure every day unlike the mrs. my lad loves it and one day it will be his. He’s not wishing me dead but when I am he will look at it every day enjoy it and hopefully think of me. Not many things last a lifetime but this will

Exactly.
That original cost is starting to look like money well spent, especially considering the memories that will stay with your lad all his life, then his lad etc.
What a lovely thing to do.
I've owned a few omegas over the years, a wavy dial bond seamaster, a speedmaster, and I currently have a planet ocean, which is a keeper I think. They've all been reliable and solid as a rock, not once have any of them let me down.

Tristano is ok, he went a bit off the rails playing with a toy dinosaur in his videos so I stopped watching. But he is good for history and horological insights for the new hobbyists.

I bought a pink Lacoste T shirt for £50 from the same shop. Semi flare needle cords from Oasis town. Bought trainers from John and Davids stall too. Now JD.

He's building a fucking lego lamborgini tonight, but I forgive his eccentricity, as his watch knowledge is pretty solid.
Most of the stuff he owns (not just watches) are well out of my price range, but he does advocate buying quality which will last and last.
