Wasting money on expensive items

Erling's new watch might seem like a waste of money, but obviously he needed a light blue dial watch to match his MCFC kit.

I understand why people buy nice things even though some of the nice things that people buy look frivolous on the outside.

People who like to buy art IMO aren't buying something nice they are buying an investment, weirdly they want to pay more for something so they can sell it for more, the world of high art is crammed with frauds and charlatans.

Most things that are expensive are an investment so you have every chance of getting your money back or at least a large chunk of it, there are however people who spend a fortune on food and wine which is a one shot deal, I see that as a waste of money when it is a massive overspend in reality it is rich people paying not to eat in the same space as Chantelle and her 4 children.

So to all you people who like nice watches just carry on, you've probably earned the right to have a mechanical marvel you haven't bought from Argos for £30, and if I had that much disposable income I would join you in your watch appreciation.
Food and wine a waste of money?? Nay, nay and thrice nay.

Same as my receipt from Morrisons for diesel
To be honest I never understood people paying a lot for stuff but then my brother decided to sell the buisness he had worked really hard building up for about 35 years,
More or less the week after he was told he had cancer,
He is now treating himself to a new car, a mobile home, nice watch etc while he still can & I say crack on mate enjoy your money you have hard earned & dont let any sad miserable twats put you off doing what you want.
(mind you he still wont lend me a tenner)
I’d always wanted a Porsche car but held back, my best mate was diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer in 2015, I thought bollocks, life’s too short, I’m having the Porsche. Bought one, owned it for 4 years, cost a fortune to maintain properly so sold it, thankfully mate, remarkably, is still here. Loved the car and any motor I drive now just doesn’t compare to my little beast, no regrets at all.

I never quite got the obsession with watches, clothes and all that. Holidays and cars yes. But you know what's worse than people with money who buy luxurious shit? People with money who don't buy shit! I don't mean the down to earth humble sort, I mean the type of rich twats that won't get a round in!
Misty isn't minted. What's his excuse?

Oy, I heard that.

Just seen an advert on here for watches some of which are nearly £50k! I just don’t get it at all. What’s the point to it? Not just watches, it goes for other stupidly expensive items like cars, jewellery or even handbags! Can someone explain why you need a £50k watch.

To offset having a 50mm penis?
