Why are we paying £33Bn for a high speed rail link to knock 20 mins or so off the journey from Euston to Brum, if the water shortage is such a crisis.
It pisses down most of the time in Scotland (and hardly anybody lives there), Geordie land and the Lake District, so wouldn't it make more sense to invest in a National Grid to move the water down to where it's needed instead?
