Watford (A) Post Match Thread

I thought Watford's unsung hero tonight was Tierney. The number of fouls he didn't give to City was, in my opinion, at least 6 or 7, and you could see our players getting more and more frustrated when this happened. On the other hand, he did his best to give any minor challenge by City as a free kick.
A splendid display of game management.
Having said that, Watford were plucky opponents and didn't let their heads drop. Their goal was fortunate, but we held out to put us safe from relegation for another year.
Finally, I couldn't believe my ears when Peter Walton said we should have had a penalty for handball. he never did that when he was a "referee", especially against Everton.

Prefer sterling but the guy hit an assist (beautiful ball) and a goal. What else should he have done?

This is the problem, you see a preference and think it’s a criticism..

We’re more fluid in our attacks with sane and Sterling, the movement amongst the front 3 is hindered by his inability to be interchangeable. Cracking player but does his insistence on checking back grind my gears?? Ya damn skippy

Don’t think Pep will mind that. 3 points and he can really get into them now before the Chelsea match.

Brilliant as we are, our goals conceded ratio to mistakes made is fucking ridiculous.

I don't think he'll be very happy at all. He certainly wasn't sitting back and enjoying it at 1-0 or 2-0.

I think this game will be just like West Ham where he comes out and says there's X things we need to do better or we'll lose soon.

We didn’t batter them, it was 2-1, with us hanging on in the last minutes.
Yet again, if we put the chances away, we wouldn’t get put into that situation.

Some seriously poor decisions by us in the last third, too many touches.

Jesus needs to find his scoring boots sharpish. He's not cutting it lately. Put any top class striker up top tonight and it's game over before 70 mins.

Delph doesn't make that error and that last 10 minute frenzy doesn't happen.

3 points in the bag and seeing the Scousers play catch up. I reckon they will drop points tomorrow. Merry Christmas blues!!!
