Watford (H) | Post-Match Thread

Harder games to come in the league but we are still ahead.

Leeds, West Ham, Wolves away and Newcastle and Villa at home. Not the easiest but ones we would have taken if we knew the situation.

Newcastle, Villa and Saints away for the dippers. Spurs and Wolves at home.

Similar difficulty depending what Spurs turn up.
The big plus is that none of those teams have anything really big to play for. Possibly Leeds but I dont think there in a desperate position.

One of those games where, after spending weeks staring at the fixture list, you do start to believe that winning all the games left is very possible. Watford perhaps the easiest of what we've got left, but the team looked relaxed and even seem to be enjoying themselves. I'll have a pint of whatever they're drinking!

Kev is at his best, ostensibly second team players are hitting form, Dias just fills me with confidence even when he's not at his best. Could be a big few weeks, I am fully starting to believe we might do something special.
A fit KDB and we will definately win something. Without him I doubt it. He is absolute key.

Two down, five more wins to go.

Thought it was a professional performance, we went to sleep for their goal, and got punished for it but it steadied us and we duly put them away quickly.

Glad we got some rest for Kev, Laporte & Rodri with what's coming against Real Madrid.

Happy for Gabby to get rewarded with his 4 goals. He finally got some rewards for all the work he does defensively for us. Don't really want him to leave, I'd be happier to sell Sterling more so then Gabby but if he is leaving hopefully he hits a rich vein of form before he departs.

Strong 60 mins then game management. Will face sterner tests. Disappointed with their goal. Ferna & KDB let him run through the gap. Such is life. Sterling had a very strong performance that deserved a goal. Too bad the team laid one on for him and he fluffed his lines. When is Jack Grealish going to play? Today, he seemed to be occupying the same space as A.N. Other teammate. Hopefully, he will “click” soon, because the questions are getting harder to deflect. Second season better be a productive one or he will be moved on…£100M or not!

Rodri…what a Boss! Can’t believe we nicked him from relative obscurity. If he is not the best DM in the world, I’d like to know who is.

And, finally, Gabby! Absolutely over the blue moon that he got his chances and took his goals well, looked sharp and active the whole game and showed what potential he has as a front player for Pep. He is happy to play anywhere across the front, TRACKS BACK, and sacrifices himself for the team. Top, top squad player who just happened to hit on all cylinders today. Never like to see a player step up for a penalty on a hat trick, but took it with aplomb. Well done, that man!

Square pegs in round holes.Grealish and others, notably Foden and Bernardo, are affected by this.
We have too many players, with similar attributes, who are all competing for similar space. It weakens both individual performance and the team cohesion.
