wayne bridge - mancini is my only handicap

I dont understand all the abuse in this thread, fair enough hes pretty gash but he was offered a certain wage hes entitled to pick it up, how many of you would change job to less than half of what you were paid now. If he is happy to play with the reserves fair enough let him collect what he was offered. Obviously can see where Mancini is coming from but his wages are relative to footballers not normal people and so we cant ecpect him to move on until the end of his contract regardless of the amount of football he plays.

The whole point is he is happy to do that, but isnt man enough to come out and say it. What stood out for me was when he said certain players would make a fuss if they dont play and he's not the same. Thats says it all. If you force a move because you are not getting games, it shows you want to play football atleast. The only reason he has come out now is that Mancini questioned his professionalism. Otherwise he would be happy collecting his money and chill on the weekends with his girlfriend.

Bridge should just say Im 31 and coming to the end of my career, i will only leave if someone offers me similar wage, otherwise i will see out my contract and save my money

He doesn't need to say it. That is the common sense thing to do. He can play pickup footie for fun on saturdays if he loves it that much. No need losing money just to prove nothing to others.

Dunno why he get's so much crap aimed at him to be honest, because he's never bad mouthed the club or missed training. Think he's been treated pretty shabbily to be honest to be made to train with the kids most days.

This is the whole point. He can, if he wants, pick up his pay check until the end of his contract, and never play football again. And prove that he loves money more than he loves playing football.

Oh poor old Wayne. He wants to have his cake and eat it; I want money and I want to play. But he's not good enough so he has to move to play. He won't, that's clear.
