We are contenders.

Mancini "Chelsea will win the league comfortably."

Mancini " I want to finish first."

Them two comments just contradict each other and he is exerting extra pressure onto himself. Not a good move probably his last season in Manchester, unless the rags want him.

Tosser.

Now fuck off.

The only reason Gooners are posting on BM is because they know we're title contenders and our performances will only improve as the season goes on. They are here to indulge their big time denial issues, much as the Dippers were doing after they signed Joe Cole up and decided they were going to win the title.

you get some like the people who think city will win the league based on that performance today.

and what's wrong with that? We were not very good at all and ground out a result.
What I believe is that we really haven't played that well this season yet apart from the Chelsea and Liverpool matches.
Surely the test of a titlle challenging side is if they win when they play poorly.

And to say we were fortunate with dodgy goals, what about that non penalty of yours yesterday?

Balotelli? Class player but has no class. Expect him to be at Old Trafford wearing a united shirt supporting them thats what he did to Inter. Hes a one match wonder just hope that match isn't the next one.

Ive been posting on here since you beat the chavs, you get some good views from some fans then you get some like the people who think city will win the league based on that performance today.

You cant go from mediocre to champions it just doesn't happen. Its a transitional step by step process. You should aim for the champions league then focus on winning the league. Not from mid table to champions, your ambitions will kill your success. If City finish 4th will that be a success will the owners be happy?

On the subject of 35 years that other fan was giving it large on how we are shit and trophyless so 35 years is not a bad comeback is it.

just don't answer the sad, bitter fools.

Im not slagging you off, you will be there and there about, Im just pointing out how fans in this forum are fickle in general. You win and play bad, you see 10 threads about how you are the real deal and thats what champions do. You draw and play bad, Mancini is clueless, he doesnt understand the english game etc etc. Im just saying its always an extreme to one side. We have played 8 games, Man City look strong, specielly defensively. But just like Chelsea, Arsenal and Man U, you have areas which you are not so great at. And you guys never seem to talk about these issues when you win, its a sudden crisis when you dont which I find amusing

It's just the nature of forums to be honest. The City faithful by and large, are happy with the team, but sometimes annoyed at our defensive setup.

For the record, hope you guys do well this year, I have a great deal of respect for Arsenal and its fans, stretching back to the days when you guys used to hammer United. For cockneys, you guys are alright. If any team in the land were to finish above us, I hope that it's you. I'd very much like to see you and us in a Cup Final (obviously with us been victorious :-)

(and I don't just say that about any United rivals; see my views on Liverpool for a good benchmark :-)
Thanks mate. Im looking forward to the game next week. Think its gonna be high quality game with two top teams. City looks so strong at the back that I fear we may have similar performance like we did against Chelsea, play really well, but the defence will be too strong. Can you do us a favour and play Bridge and against Walcott :)

Most City fans including myself know the club and the owners have placed a target of top 4 for this season having finished 5th last time out.

The media (god bless 'em) have us as title contenders so that when it doesn't happen we can be branded as failures and that Mancini shouls be sacked.

To qualify for the Champions league is the most important thing for us this season.

This 35 years thing....oh dear, oh dear. The last of the straw graspers strikes again. It has no relevance whatsoever and what has this got to do with the current owners/management.

You look around our dressing room at the moment compared to some of the other teams up there including Arsenal...how many of them have won titles/trophies and medals.

That's what matters. They know how to do it and they will do it again.
