We are NOT Man City..

We won't be Manchester City...we will be integrated into just a part of the City group..it started with the badge, they had the same template as the others, and simply asked fans what should be plonked in the middle so they 'thought' it was their idea....heard of sheep ;)

yeah I've herd of them

Manchester city is too long for a twitter name or url. Mcfc is slightly ambiguous to most people. Man city isnt. Simples. Also, enouh of this football club nonsense. We are not gonna start playing fucking rugby for gods sake

Manchester City is also too long for a fair few songs over the years and has been shortened by fans to Man City.

I imagine they'll change everything to New York City for them, why wouldn't they.

Wow. Arguing over nothing.
The awful kit for this season is an argument I can support but this?.
So long as whoever reads the football results gives the proper name "Manchester City" rather than an abbreviation I don't care.

"We're the famous manchester city and we're going to wembley"......
Doesnt quite work does it??...
Its a web url link name. It will recoup more search hits around the world as man city....
As stated mcfc us a but vague for new wanna be new supports and the cash they want to spend.
Once your into the web site, every thing else is manchester city...
When ever ive been abroad and asked my allegence, i generally say man city. Whenever i say manchester city, a common reply is, "who.... manchester... united.... you mean?".
So ive stopped saying manchester as the dullards with that stupid reply are usually seconds from my rage taking over.... not good for the heart or the missus lol

From a digital marketing perspective : Manchester too long, MCFC too vague... Man City works better for search

Don't worry give it a few years and it will be City football group - Manchester branch...

MOAN MOAN MOAN..

The kit now an online search name what next are we going to moan about..

Lets have faith in our club stop the complaining ..

Man City has never ever bothered me either nearly 40 years a fan, I think some people just like to find something new to moan at, really I mean we could be still in division 2 or bankrupt instead, those pesky arab money men :/

Alternatively they could just be trying to evolve. I realise that for A LOT of people change is tantamount to death, but there's nothing wrong with change. City have taken far too much stick from moaning supporters about the changes they are making at the club, when most of them are for the betterment of everyone who supports the club no matter where they may be.

Today's Pep's first day at work man and you're moaning about this like it's important. SMH.

I am so tired of the whinging of some of our supporters, it often goes way beyond embarrassing but, hey, it's a free country ( even more so now but I won't get you started on Brexit ;-) ).

I try to avoid using Man City as a term because it is apparently a sin but actually I could give a fuck. It's just another abbreviation, as is MCFC. It is actually just childish to claim it should not be used.

What I do wonder is whether the people at the club who decided to adopt it for the website did so in the knowledge that some supporters would take umbrage. If they did not realise that, it raise questions of how in touch with the support the club are? If they realised but decided to use it anyway, I hope they did so in the belief that City fans by and large are sensible and mature enough to see the logic and deal with it.
