I see us going to rome with a 1 point lead so really just need to avoid defeat people will think I'm mad but if possible I'd go with this team

hart

zaba
Clichy
mdm
vinny

fern
dinho
yaya

navas
milner

aguero
You're right. I think you're mad. How can you include Yaya in that team?

We can still qualify I said from the start it would come down to the Roma game where we will need to win think we would all take that now.

Frankly, couldn't give a shit. Hopefully we finish last, because we really do not need the effing Europa league. There is something more satisfying about winning the League Cup, or F.A. Cup, because it doesn't involve having to cheat.

Think that's a bit extreme we are struggling in the champions league but we must back our team and I beleive we will qualify..

Still think we will qualify, beat CSKA at home leaves us on 5, you'd expect Bayern to beat Roma which would leave them on 4

Roma 'should' beat CSKA which will put them on 7, anything we get from Bayern is a bonus but if we get beat it will mean having to win in Rome

Basically we have to beat CSKA and win in Rome

Even if we draw in Rome by the time Bayern come here they will be cert top of the group and playing a second string which we should beat and go through.

Then comes the crunch.

We need CSKA to beat a deflated Roma in Moscow and Bayern, who will have already won the group, to send a weakened team to the Etihad.
I am very confident that we can dispose of a weakened Bayern as we did 3 years ago.
The match in Rome then becomes a dead rubber.
Simple.

Of course if Pep sends his full first team to play us or we need to get a result in Rome we've got a big problem ...

I actually think we will qualify in the way I've outlined but we'll go out in the last 16 or as soon as we draw a top team.
We're miles away from winning this competition and I don't think we will with this manager or this group of players.

Another piece of good fortune will be the fact that we will know the result in Moscow between them and Roma, before we take the field against Bayern.

If it was cold last night, give it another month and the Italians might as well be playing in Siberia.

Probably so, but at that stage Bayern will be thinking ahead and contemplating on where future dangers lie in wait. They may see beyond the obvious names of Barca, Real and, possibly Chelsea, and decide that one or two others may derail them. They may think that City pose a greater threat in the knockout stages than do Roma, and it would be better to eliminate City now while the chance is there.
