We have nothing to worry about,we are at our best coming back from the brink, last season we got stronger in second half and feel sure we are capable of going on another long run, preferably starting against Chelsea.

The next league game at the Bridge is one we must not lose!!!

It's usually when our backs are well and truly to the wall and people have written us off, that we decide to turn up and show what we are made of.
Champs League this year is a good example. Hopefully, they decide Chelsea is a must win and blow them away. Realistically, I'd be happy with a boring 0-0.
I think Jose will set up not to lose expecting us to go for it and hit us on the break. I would say take the draw and play out the most boring game in the history of the Premiership.
Obviously I'd prefer option 1, but if we are only 5 points behind When Yaya and his new best buddy come home, happy days. We've overturned worse than that.

Have a feeling Chelsea have gotten their dodgy results out of the way. They are a well oiled machine at the moment with hardly any weaknesses. We'd basically have to win every one of our games to have chance and with our frailties at the back I can't see that happening. I'd love to see us to give it a right go though.

I know what you mean but they hype around Chelsea is ridiculous. Spurs put 5 past them for God sake. On our day, I truly believe we can beat anyone. We've beaten Bayern this year and they are a far better team than Chelsea. Personally I think we will draw against them at the bridge but go on to win the league. Chelsea will drop points, they aren't as special as people think.

I would love a season where we can sing, “We’re Man City, we fight from the start”

Why does everyone love a comparison, yes we was behind United that year does that mean we will do it again? No. We have been very lucky that the two years we have won it the team that should of won it comfortably decided to implode to coincide with us going on a good run. Added the extra factor that Chelsea are better and have a better team than any of our competition the two years we won it.

Wow, if Chelsea aren't that special which is your view and completely valid how would you describe us at the moment? A freak 5-3 result isn't really something to base an argument on though, it's like saying United let 5 in against the worst team in the league but is irrelevant as they will probably finish top 4

And for the people who love a good comparison, on this date in 2013 we was 5 points behind the leaders United. We finished the season 11 points behind them and that’s with beating them!

I never regarded that as luck. Character yes. Something we were being told we hadn't got by United when it was obvious they were trying to convince themselves. That showed me an underlying sense of self doubt on their part. Despite their position at the time they new they had the inferior team.
As for Liverpool last year. Just because the media had them winners since March. They were quite obviously running on adrenaline, fuelled by the media love in that they courted quite openly. Rodgers whipped it up as his main tactic. Any team running on adrenaline for that length of time were always going to be in for a big let down once the adrenaline was gone. After they beat us they got even more euphoric but City remained calm. We all know what happened then with Chelsea, but a calm team would have regrouped.
They were not equipped to see it out. We were. The season is over 38 games, you don't win it on luck.
This season is over 38 games also and it won't be won by luck either. Not saying it will be us, but if we are looking for a squad with the character to see it through, we have it.

What makes you think that? Less than 3 weeks ago they were blown off the park by a team that's not exactly an offensive juggernaut.

Us at the moment? Under performing. Us this season, good but not great. Last season we were pretty special. Apart from the Swansea game, I haven't seen chelsea play as well as we have at certain times in the last 4 years which is why I'm not overly concerned at this point. However we do need to raise our game because if we keep our performance levels at their current rate then we can kiss our title goodbye.

I agree with the intent of this thread, but its nowhere near the end. We can be concerned about "fighting to the end" in April. Of course we might be walking it by then :)
