Well said, people gettin way, way too cocky for my liking. Next Sunday will be no cakewalk

Remember Bournemouth at home 1989. Keep you blue feet on the ground guys this may have draw written all over it. QPR are fighting for their survival! Then theres the Hughes factor and Joey Barton. The league has not been won yet not by a long shot.

yeah 3 - 0 up then they get 3 back.

this is a different City

Re: We've still only got eggs, so stop f**kin' counting them!!!

It is driving me insane. I come into work and I have people right and left telling me congratulations. Same with text messages. I just ignore the texts, but the people who keep saying things to me I just stare blankly at them and say, "why"? We are league champions right now as much as we are for the last 44 years. We haven't won a thing yet. We have a chance but that is all it is and nothing more. Just like we had a chance last year and the year before. The one thing that I can take solice in is that our players are probably in the right frame of minds.

Evening lads...I can't start a new topic, but fully understand this thread....
Wednesday had to beat Wycombe on Saturday...should be a doddle...but I have followed this dogs breakfast of a club since the mid 60's and i simply knew that most owt could happen...luckily it didn't...and Wednesday fans had a chance to party...and no Man Utd fan...No Chelsea or Arsenal fan will ever understand what it means to go through such abject crap for years...not a season outta the sunlight, not some fleeting loss of form, but to watch your club plumb the depths of English football, toddle to places you hardly knew existed and look at the away end of your ground peopled by 1 man an' his dog as you lost 1-0 in the bloody rain to a team you never thought you'de play outside of the F.A cup.
So..I just thought i'd pop on here to wish you all the best against QPR...because you lot as fans, fully understand why ive still got a massive grin on me face...you have been through it...stayed loyal to a club that hit the buffers....and believe me you fully deserve whatever glories you get in the coming years...folk who accuse of buying it, have not suffered...when they do..they will realise that they would snatch anyones hand off for the same opportunity...
I hope the blue half of Manchester goes as mental as the Blue half of Sheffield did last Saturday...
All the best lads...youve earned it

This season has been amazing. Absolutely amazing.
The last two matches have been unbelievable. Especially going to Newcastle and performing the way we did. Everyone associated with this success deserves great recognition, particularly the players and management team.
However...
The job is not done YET, we haven't won anything YET.
The chances are that we should go on to beat QPR and win the league which is just unfathomable, especially considering where we were as the players trudged off the pitch against Arsenal.
But does anyone else feel uncomfortable with the bragging and boasting I'm hearing from fellow blues in a range of different media outlets? Without meaning to sound like a party-pooper, we as a club, players, management and US as fans cannot afford to become complacent in any way shape or form. Maybe I've been a blue for too long!!!! QPR as last home game of the season brings back a few dodgy memories!
Anyway, I honestly feel that a key moment in the season was when the rags went 4-2 up against Everton; instead of cheering their team on, the rags just sang song after song about City... completely taking their eyes of the ball which I feel seeped into their team's performance. 20 minutes later it's 4-4!! Let this be a lesson that it isn't over until it is over!
All being well, the time for celebrations and all that goes with that is SUnday at 4:45pm. We've waited long enough, another week won't hurt!!

Spot on mate. I hope one day you're back in the Prem - the sooner the better. Hillsbrough was always one of my favourite away days. Quick ride on the train and those wooden seats in the stand. Proper stadium. I remember a 1-1 draw with Quinn scoring under Ball and a 6-2 win for us under Keegan when Bernarbia was awesome.

Good luck Wednesday.

It's being said a lot; and that fuck! At least there are some normal grounded people amongst us. If you've all learnt one thing from this season it should be that it isn't over until it's over and it's 95minutes away from being over yet!

We have won nowt. There are no certainties in football. We have to put in double the effort on the pitch and in the stands than both the United and Ncastle games put together to go and beat Rangers.

The same sort of over confident shit was being spouted before the FA Cup final last year. People thought we'd beaten United and that meant our name was on the cup. There were predictions of 4-0 on here, yet we very nearly didn't beat Stoke. Had Joe not fantastically saved that Kenwynne Jones shot on 72minutes we could well have lost that game, even though we were by far the better side. As it was we narrowly won 1-0 on 74mins through Yaya.

I'm not saying I think there will be a shock on the cards, but we must take this game more seriously than any other game we have all season.

The job is not done!
